Dunedoo is a delightful
town set amid low rolling hills. Wheat cattle and sheep are the main
agricultural pursuits. Dunedoo is an aboriginal word
meaning swan, and the bird is a recurring motif throughout the town.
The town was established to service local landholdings. It is known
as the southern gateway to the Warrumbungles. Dunedoo is the home of
the Chinamans Spring 40 gate motor cross track, where seven
meets a year are held.
